As part of our ongoing effort to offer inspiring and educational activities to the young men of our community, Speedway DeMolay has scheduled a FREE one-hour seminar on leadership and critical thinking in celebration of the 100th anniversary of our organization. A free dinner will follow the brief program, and we invite YOU and your parents to join us for the evening!

Keith Klein is a senior member of Steel City Chapter, Order of DeMolay, in Gary, Indiana, and is currently a member of the DeMolay international governing body, having served as its presiding officer in 2006-07. Professionally, Mr. Klein retired on December 31, 2014, as Chair of the Communication Department at Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington, Indiana. He remains as an Adjunct Professor at the college and is a Special Assistant to the Chancellor. Mr. Klein is also a former president of the Monroe County School Corporation Board. A reporter and news correspondent for NBC News in Chicago for ten years, Mr. Klein later ran the Indiana University PBS Television station (WTIU) for twenty years. He spent three years as a Public Relations and Marketing Director for Cook Group Incorporated, an international medical device company. As a well-known broadcast veteran in his community, Mr. Klein is a frequent emcee and moderator at community events in addition to being a leadership training instructor and a motivational speaker. Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels named Mr. Klein a Distinguished Hoosier, and he was honored by the IHSAA with their Golden Whistle for fifty-two years as a high school athletics official.
